Lydia Long Shares Her Vision for AAPM

Lydia Long is the coordinator for Awake America Prayer Meetings. The Lord gave Lydia a vision in 2004 to launch a new prayer ministry and movement that would hold prayer meetings in various locations as the Lord opened the doors. To date, there are ten locations in three states where prayer meetings are held. We want to thank Mrs. Betty Cornett for hosting Lydia on TV 57 to share her vision.

Introduction of New Facilitator for AAPM's Robbinsville, N.C. Location

Biography/Spiritual Journey -Mr. Kevin Haag

Location: Graham County Courthouse
12 Court St, Robbinsville, NC. 28771
(Established on June 12, 2025). Monthly meetings are as follows: June 12, July 17, August 21, September 11, October 16, November 20, and December 18, 2025.

Mr. Kevin Haag was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and attended Catholic Church while growing up. Located in “Surf City” in the early seventies, “Jesus Freaks“ and hippies traveled the Pacific Coast Highway, and many of his peers became born again Christians. While attending an after school Bible study conducted by Campus Crusade for Christ, he became interested in Bible stories. One of the leaders shared a Bible called “The Way“, a modern translation of the New Testament Bible which he read cover to cover. His Baptist girlfriend witnessed to him frequently on their dates. After resisting her appeals to make Jesus his Lord and Savior, she challenged him by she stating, “No decision is a decision; it means you will not go to heaven!” which troubled Kevin for weeks. Eventually Kevin and his girlfriend attended a movie which turned out to be a Billy Graham Evangelistic movie and at 12 o’clock midnight under the conviction of the Holy Spirit, Kevin knew he had to respond. He went forward that night…and connected with a mentor who routinely followed up with him to be sure he was growing in his faith. This event began his lifelong journey with the Lord. While attending a religion class at California State University, he decided he needed to examine other world religions and in doing so determined that Christianity was the best choice. His spiritual journey was progressing. Kevin and his girlfriend began attending a Presbyterian Church and it proved quite different from the services he had experienced in the Catholic Church as they preached messages that urged one to be a doer of God‘s word. His Christian walk continued to grow.

In time Kevin proposed and married his girlfriend. They had three daughters and one son. Navigating the challenges of marriage, children, developing his own landscaping company while attending college and growing in his faith, they attended Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. They were thrilled by how God was bringing hundreds to a saving faith in Jesus. Their approach allowed for extensive study of the Bible verse by verse and eventually a first rate Bible education was obtained. Later, Kevin served at Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) as a phone prayer partner and served as a men’s ministry leader. In prayer seeking God‘s direction, he received an inner witness of Matthew 24:26: “Blessed is that servant whom the master will find doing when he returns”. With this, he accepted a two year program of study and began serving as an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Voyage in Costa Mesa.

In 2019, Kevin and his wife Julie moved to Lake Santeetlah, NC and attend Robbinsville First Baptist Church. He continues to facilitate a Men’s Accountability Group via Zoom with men around the country. They love to edify, strengthen, and encourage both the saved and unsaved, continue to study the word, and share the gospel with folks wherever they go. The Lord has blessed them richly, and they look forward to the next adventure to which the good Lord calls them.

Mr. Haag’s Favorite Scripture:
Joshua 1:9: “Have I not commanded you to be strong and a good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord, your God is with you wherever you go.”

Introduction of New Facilitator for AAPM's Blue Ridge Location

Dennis Gorges was born in the Bronx, New York and grew up in nearby Westchester County. At age 17, he moved to Florida where he worked with his dad as a telephone cable splicer's helper. At age 19, his dad talked him into joining the Navy where later he worked on jet airplanes as an aviation electrician for four years in active duty and then two more in the Naval reserves.

Upon leaving the military in 1988, he worked for several different aircraft companies around the country as an electrician, sheet metal mechanic, and finally manufacturing engineer.

In 2011 Dennis married his beautiful wife, Rainey, and in 2014 they moved to Blue Ridge, GA. Shortly thereafter, they joined World Harvest Church North and remain active members. Dennis serves in lighting and sound. He and Rainey are intercessors as well.

Hearing the Word shared at WHCN has drawn them both much closer to the Lord. They have attended Awake America Prayer meetings since 2014 and are now available to help serve as facilitator and assistant to AAPM in Blue Ridge. God is so Good!!

Favorite Scripture: The angel of the Lord encamps round about those who fear Him, and He delivers them. (Psalm 34:7)

Favorite quote: God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without
His notice, is it probable that an Empire can rise without His aid?

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

World Harvest Church North

Lydia Long is a firm believer in being under spiritual authority and covering. The purpose of having a spiritual authority and covering is for protection. World Harvest Church North provides a spiritual covering for many ministries in America and other nations.

The scriptural basis for this concept is found in Ephesians 4 : 12 - 16, And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the [c]edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

World Harvest Church North is located at 135 Bud Franklin Dr. Blairsville, GA 30512
